LIFE RPG LITE — DAILY QUEST TRACKER
Free edition, Dot Matrix, by Lua Dias Studio

Thanks for picking it up. Here is everything, in the order you
need it.

WHAT YOU GOT
------------------------------------------------------------
1-OPEN-ME-Life-RPG-Lite.html
The tracker. One file. Double-click it.

3-HOW-TO-OPEN.txt
Read this if double-clicking did not work, or if you are on
   a phone or tablet.

4-QUICK-START.html
A one-page visual guide. Open it in your browser, or print it.

5-LICENSE.txt
What you may do with this file. Short version: it is free to
use for as long as you like. To share it, share the link to the
page you got it from, not the file.

6-FONT-LICENSE.txt
The licence for Departure Mono, the typeface built into the
tracker. Nothing you need to do. It ships because the licence
asks it to travel with the font.

YOUR FIRST THREE MINUTES
------------------------------------------------------------
1. Open the tracker. It works immediately. No account, no signup,
   no email, nothing to install.

2. Click EDIT next to CHARACTER and put your own name in. Pick a
class if you like. It changes your avatar and nothing else —
it is there because naming yourself makes the rest land.

3. Look at the five quests already on the list. Delete the ones
that are not yours. Keep one.

4. Do that one thing. Then come back and press the + next to it.

That is the whole product. Everything else is optional.

HOW THE NUMBERS WORK
------------------------------------------------------------
Each quest pays XP once per day. Small is 15, medium 25, and a
challenging one 50. You choose which is which when you create it.

Your first LEVEL costs 100 XP, and each one after that costs 25
more than the last. Level 2 arrives on day one. Level 10 takes
about a month of ordinary use. Level 50 takes about two years.
That is on purpose: the early levels should come fast, and the
late ones should mean something.

Ranks sit along the way — Novice, Adventurer at level 5, Veteran
at 10, Champion at 25, Legend at 50 — and the character panel
always tells you the next one.

Attributes stay simple. Every 100 XP inside one attribute raises
it by a point. The four are Vitality, Knowledge, Creativity and
Focus, and each quest feeds exactly one of them.

Quests reset every day. The experience does not. That is the
whole design: the list is disposable, the history is not.

Unchecking is allowed and it is not a penalty. If you press the
button by mistake, press it again and the XP comes straight back
out. Nothing here is a streak you can fail by being honest.

THE STREAK, AND WHAT IT ACTUALLY MEASURES
------------------------------------------------------------
One quest, any quest, on a given day marks that day. Your streak
is how many days in a row are marked, counting back from today.

It does not care which quest, how many, or how hard. A 15 XP
quest keeps the streak exactly as well as a 50 XP one. That is
deliberate: on a bad day the point is to do the small thing, not
to protect a number.

If you miss a day, the streak goes back to zero and nothing else
happens. Your XP, your levels and your history are untouched.

Beside it sits BEST, your longest run ever. That number never
goes down.

ACHIEVEMENTS THAT KEEP GOING
------------------------------------------------------------
There are five tracks, and each one is a ladder rather than a
single badge: quests done, best streak, level, days tracked, and
"well rounded", which asks every attribute to keep up with the
others.

Each track shows the rung you are on, how far along the next one
you are, and what it asks for. The last rungs are a long way off
— a 365-day streak, a thousand quests, two years of showing up —
so there is always a next one.

Nothing you have earned is ever taken back. A broken streak does
not cost you the streak achievements, because they are measured
against your best run, not your current one.

YOUR YEAR
------------------------------------------------------------
YOUR JOURNEY shows the whole year as a grid: one square per day,
darker the more quests you did. Today has an outline. Days that
have not happened yet are faded.

The arrows beside the year go back to earlier years, as far as
your first quest. On a phone the grid scrolls sideways and opens
on the current week.

YOUR DATA — PLEASE READ THIS PART
------------------------------------------------------------
Everything you type is stored by your own browser, on this
device. It never leaves your computer. There is no server, no
account, and no internet connection involved. We cannot see your
data, because it never reaches us.

That privacy has one cost, and it is a real one:

CLEARING YOUR BROWSER'S SITE DATA OR STORAGE WILL ERASE
EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ENTERED. Clearing only your browsing
history normally does NOT erase it — but "clear site data",
"clear cookies and site data", and most browser-cleaning
   tools DO.

So, once in a while:

Click EXPORT BACKUP, at the top right, and keep the file
somewhere you trust. To bring it back, click IMPORT and choose
that file. You will be told whose backup it is and what is
about to happen before anything changes.

Your data also does not travel between devices or browsers on
its own. The export file is how you move it.

If you ever want a clean slate, ERASE EVERYTHING at the bottom
of the page shows you exactly what is about to go, offers to
export a backup first, and gives you one chance to undo right
after. Your language choice survives it.

LANGUAGES
------------------------------------------------------------
English, Spanish and Portuguese. The selector is at the top
right, next to the backup buttons.

It picks your browser's language the first time you open it, and
remembers whatever you choose after that. Switching language
changes the interface. It does not translate quests you wrote
yourself, because those are your words, not ours.

PRINTING
------------------------------------------------------------
Press Ctrl+P, or Cmd+P on a Mac. The page prints as a clean
sheet — your character, your attributes, your quest list and
your streak — without the dark green field, which would empty a
cartridge for no reason.

WHEN YOU WANT MORE: LIFE RPG PRO
------------------------------------------------------------
Lite is complete on its own, and nothing in it is locked or
counting down. It stays free.

Life RPG Pro is the bigger edition. It adds gold and a reward
shop you stock yourself, main quests with steps, curses to
resist, a weekly chronicle with a chest and your mood, letters to
your future self, and a night theme.

Your progress comes with you. Export a backup from Lite and
import it into Pro, and every quest, level and streak is kept.
Some browsers also let Pro find your Lite progress by itself and
offer to bring it over; where one does not, the backup file always
works. "What is in Pro?" at the bottom of the
page says the same thing in fewer words.

IF SOMETHING IS WRONG
------------------------------------------------------------
Go to luaimagined.com/support and tell me what happened. A real
person reads it, and I would much rather fix your problem than
leave you with a file that does not work.
